Bayern Cup - Bayern Cup International and Bayern Junior Cup
Tournament Rules
A. Each team shall designate a representative who will appear in person at check in to:
1) Present LAMINATED player ID cards.
2) Verify the completed Player Roster
3) Present completed 2008-2009 Medical Release forms signed by player's parent.
Note: For Bayern Junior Cup, 2009/2010 Medical Release form
NOTE: All teams will use 2008-2009 ID cards for Bayern Cup and Bayern Cup International
Bayern Junior Cup will use 2009/2010 Player ID cards and will accept all AYSO and Spring Select Teams as well as all travel teams.
B. All games will be played by FIFA Rules modified by USYSA and CYSA-South.
C. All teams will be scheduled for at least 3 games, Bayern Cup and Bayern Junior Cup will receive 4 games. Check your team's schedule andthe list of the fields and maps. It is possible you may be playing at more than one venue. All teams from CYSA-S must have a carded coach with LAMINATED USYSA/CYSA-S sanctioned ID cards card on the sidelines during games.
D. All games will be considered final and no protests will be allowed.
E. The length of all U8/U9/U10 50 minute games. U11 to 13, 50 minute games. U14 to U19 games will be 60 minutes. All tournament games have 5 minutes half time.
F. Championship Games for U8/U9/U10 will be 25 minute halves. U11-U13 30 minute halves. U14 to U19, will be 35 minute halves. There will be a 5 minute halftime in Championship games.
G. Teams shall be awarded points based on a 10-point system described below.
H. Teams must be on opposite sides of the playing field. Home team will have choice of sides. In the event of a color conflict, home team must change jerseys. Home team will supply the game ball.
Win = 6 points
Tie = 3 points
Loss = 0 points
Shutout = 1 point
In addition, bonus points shall be awarded for goals scored in a game, not to exceed a maximum of three goals per game. One additional bonus point shall be awarded to the winning team for achieving a shutout. No shutout bonus shall be awarded for a 0-0 tie.
Teams shall be awarded the bonus points for goals scored without regard to the outcome of the game. That is, the losing team will receive points for goals scored, and 0 points for the loss.
One point will be deducted for each red card received. Player and or Coach included.
I. A team, which "wins on a forfeit", shall be deemed to have won by a score of 1-0 and will receive 8 points.
J. Tie Breaker - In the event that two or more teams are tied in points at the end of the preliminary games, the following tiebreakers shall be applied in order given until a winner is determined.
1. Winner of head to head competition.
2. Net goals (goals for, minus goals against).
3. Goals against.
4. Most goals scored (maximum of 4 goals per game).
5. Most total wins.
6. Most Shutout wins.
7. Red/Yellow Cards against (Team with most will be eliminated).
8. FIFA penalty kicks.
K. Semi-Final Games - All semi-final games ending in a tie shall go directly to FIFA penalty kicks.
L. Championship Game - If a game is tied at the end of regulation time, then we will play two 10 minute overtime periods and switch directions at the 10 minute mark. If the game remains tied, FIFA penalty kicks will determine the winner.
M. Any player or coach receiving a RED CARD is disqualified for the remainder of the match and next match thereafter, this includes a RED CARD received for double yellow. If a player or Coach is ejected for assault than the player or coach shall be ineligible for the remainder of the tournament and their administrator card will be turned over to their respective State Association.
N. Coaches shall be responsible for the conduct of the spectators on their sidelines.
O. U8 to U16 Player Substitution
1. Substitution is unlimited at any stoppage of play, at the discretion of the referee who will consider if the stoppage delay will take away opposing team advantage.
2. Substitution shall be made at midfield at the halfway line. The substitute player shall not enter the field of play until allowed by the referee and the player substituted has left the field of play.
3. Excessive substitutions resulting in confusion or delay of game are discouraged and will not be allowed by the referee.
P. U17 to U19 Player Substitution
1. According to FIFA substitution rules.
Q. PLAYER SAFETY
1. No player will be allowed to play with an injury which could be aggravated by playing or which, in the opinion of the referee, institutes a danger to themselves or others.
2. No player wearing an orthopedic cast, temporary cast, [NON-ORALBRACE (SUCH AS KNEES OR OTHER AREAS OF THE BODY) WITH HARD, HINGED OR RIGID SUPPORTS,] or splint will not be permitted to play.
3. Shin guards are mandatory for all players.
Under 8/9/10 Procedures
1. U8 and U9 will play with a maximum of seven (7) field players plus a goalie on the field for a total of eight (8) players per team. A minimum of five (5) players is required.
2. U10 will play with eleven (11) players, including the goalie, on the field.
3. Opposing players must be at least eight (8) yards away on all free kicks.
4. Penalty kicks shall be ten yards from the goal line.

A match is defined as 50% (half-time) completed
Sportsmanship and Standard of Play
A committee has been established to handle all disciplinary matters pertaining to this tournament. The following is a brief outline of what will be expected of all players and coaches who participate in this year's tournament. If you need any assistance, contact the Field Marshal at your field. Tournament Director has final say in all grievances. No games shall be played under protest for any reason.
1. All players and coaches will be expected to demonstrate the highest standard of sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
2. Any player given a red card, or any coach ejected from a game will not be permitted to participate in the remainder of the game in progress, and will not be able to participate in at least the teams next scheduled game. The Disciplinary Committee will decide if there will be any additional game suspensions. This committee will have complete authority to decide, after the initial game, the number of games a player or coach will be suspended for each red card offense. A referee report (written or verbal) will be used whenever possible to help determine final conclusions. These judgments will be made after reviewing the severity of the offense for which the red card was given and the decision will be final.
3. One point will be deducted for each red card/ejection received. A team may be assessed negative points for a game if appropriate for red cards.
4. All coaches are responsible for the conduct of their players, parents, and friends while the team is at the tournament both off the field as well as on the field.
5. No alcoholic beverages shall be permitted in the immediate vicinity of the playing site. No person shall be permitted to appear on, or in the vicinity of, the playing site in an intoxicated condition. Breaking the law is under the jurisdiction of the Anaheim Police Department, not the tournament management team.
6. All yellow cards, red card ejections, and other disciplinary actions involving players, coaches, spectators or team will be reported to the appropriate state association(s).
FIFA Fair Play Award
Referees will vote for teams for the FIFA FAIR PLAY AWARD.
Referee Awards
Coaches and Managers will vote for the referee of the tournament for each age group.
